Rafael Nipal has always had a strong connection with music. During his high school and college years, he actively pursued his passion by performing and sharing music whenever he could. He was a former member of UE JAM Sessions, the premiere music organization of the University of the East – Manila, where he performed alongside fellow student musicians.
He has taken part in various busking and solo gigs at venues such as Eastwood City, PUP-Manila, Ever Gotesco Mall, and Youniversity Suites Manila. With an acoustic guitar and a microphone, Rafael enjoys creating an atmosphere where people can feel and connect through music.
For Rafael, music goes beyond entertainment—it’s a way to express emotions, tell stories, and uplift others. His performances reflect his genuine love for the craft and his desire to share meaningful experiences through sound.

As the Supervisor and Head of Innovations at G4L Solar Technology, Rafael Nipal plays a leading role in the promotion, sales, and marketing of solar power technologies and smart security systems, working closely with the company’s CEO, Jeth Hernandez. The company specializes in delivering sustainable and intelligent energy solutions tailored for residential, commercial, and community applications.
Driven by a mission to accelerate the adoption of clean and renewable energy, Rafael oversees strategic efforts to integrate innovative systems that improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. He actively collaborates with government agencies, local government units (LGUs), private contractors, and cooperatives to broaden the impact and reach of these technologies.
His role involves managing both sales and operational initiatives, ensuring that G4L’s solutions are effectively implemented and scaled—contributing to the development of future-ready, eco-conscious communities.

In the nature of our work, being on the ground is essential. Rafael plays an active role in promoting innovative technologies such as solar-powered security systems and backup generators to a diverse range of clients. These include government agencies like LGUs, DPWH, BIR, DENR, cooperatives, and private contractors.
Successfully engaging with these sectors requires strategic planning, relationship-building, and a strong understanding of their unique needs. Over the past year, Rafael has focused efforts in the northern part of Luzon, particularly in Region I and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), covering provinces like La Union, Benguet, Tarlac, and Ilocos.
Through this work, Rafael has had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with top government officials and community leaders—experiences that have expanded his knowledge and sharpened his skills in navigating institutional partnerships and public sector transactions.

One of Rafael Nipal’s standout projects is the POLD+ Wall-Mounted Folding Table with Chairs, a creative space-saving solution tailored for Food & Beverage (F&B) outlets. Originally conceptualized during his high school years, the idea was later brought to life through a comprehensive feasibility study and fully functional prototype.
As team leader, Rafael guided the project from concept to execution. The POLD+ prototype showcased not only smart design and functionality but also market potential, which the team presented and successfully defended before a panel of industry professionals. The project reflects Rafael’s commitment to practical innovation, user-centered design, and solving real-world challenges through engineering.

In 2024, Rafael Nipal played a key leadership role in the Industrial Engineering Annual Convention (IEAC), the biggest yearly gathering of the PUP IE Community. As Events Co-Head for Project Management, he was responsible for managing the overall event flow of the two-day convention, which was attended by over 600 Industrial Engineering students and industry professionals.
Rafael spearheaded the end-to-end planning process, collaborating closely with the graduating IE batch. He applied practical project management principles—from timeline development and team coordination, to risk mitigation and real-time troubleshooting. He also developed customized spreadsheet-based trackers to monitor tasks, deadlines, and resource allocation. The success of the event was a result of nearly two months of meticulous preparation, where Rafael’s leadership ensured a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees.

Streamlining CUADRO System to Boost Sales
Cuadro de J is a well-established small-scale food stall located in the Lagoon area of PUP Manila. Owned and managed by Jezzabel Yan, the stall has built a loyal customer base with its affordable and tasty meals, especially its "Buy One, Take One" deals on crowd favorites like Shanghai, Siomai, and Tofu Sisig.
To support Cuadro de J’s continued growth, Rafael Nipal led a project focused on designing and proposing a new queuing system tailored to the stall’s operations. The project aimed to enhance employee productivity, reduce customer waiting time, and ultimately evaluate whether the implementation of the proposed system would positively impact sales performance.
By aligning queue management with customer demand and peak service hours, the project provided data-driven insights and operational strategies to improve overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
